TOWN OF BONNYVILLE RELEASE:
The Town of Bonnyville is announcing an exciting transition in leadership as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Bill Rogers retires from his role on December 31, 2024. With a decade of dedicated service to the Town, including the last four years as CAO, Bill has been a key leader in steering Bonnyville toward a prosperous future.
“This wasn’t something I came to lightly.” Rogers expressed. “It felt like the right time for me and I know I am leaving the Town in great hands.”
Rogers came to the Town of Bonnyville in 2014 when he stepped into the role as Assistant CAO to former CAO Mark Power. With 20 years of municipal government experience under his belt, Power described Rogers as ‘the right guy’ to fill the role of Assistant CAO. Rogers was the CAO of the Village of Ryley for three years before he came to the Town. He became the CAO after Power retired in 2020.
Mayor and Council wish Bill Rogers all the best as he retires after a remarkable career dedicated to the Town of Bonnyville. His steady leadership and commitment have left an enduring impact, driving success across countless projects. We’re incredibly grateful for all he has contributed and wish him and his wife, Veronica, the very best.
We are also pleased to announce Renee Stoyles as Interim/Acting CAO, we are confident in her ability to continue Bill’s legacy of progress. Her expertise and deep understanding of Bonnyville’s goals make her an excellent choice to lead our municipality.
Renee Stoyles stated “On behalf of Town staff and myself, I want to thank Bill for his dedication, wisdom and vision that have been invaluable to our team and to Bonnyville. Bill has been more than a leader; he’s been a mentor and friend who has inspired us to bring our best each day. We are incredibly grateful for his guidance these past few years and will carry forward the positive impact he’s made here.”
