RCMP RELEASE:
Lac La Biche RCMP is issuing a shelter in place as there is heavy police presence in the area of Highway 881 between Range Road 134 to the west and Range Road 130A to the east, continuing north to the lake. Police continue to search for suspects associated to multiple break-and-enters in the area.
RCMP is asking residents in this area to stay inside, lock their doors and stay away from windows while officers respond. Please refrain from posting photos of responding officers on social media.
We understand how situations such as this can make a community feel uneasy, but rest assured, your Alberta RCMP is working tirelessly to locate the suspects. We ask that the public remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or tips to the Lac La Biche RCMP at 780-623-4380.
