As of 0900 hours this morning, this vehicle has been located thanks to a report from a member of the public. It is currently being recovered and moved to a secure facility for further investigation and inspection.
The BRFA is relocating firefighting resources to ensure ongoing protection for the Iron River area and the MD of Bonnyville.

BONNYVILLE REGIONAL FIRE AUTHORITY RELEASE (APRIL 10, 2025):
At 0122 hours this morning the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) was notified by our alarm monitoring service that an unauthorized entry was made into our Iron River (Station 4) Fire Hall. RCMP were immediately notified and upon arrival of BRFA members it was obvious that a fire truck, R40, had been stolen from the building. Surveillance camera footage is currently being reviewed to assist in the investigation.
Fire Truck R40 is described as:
- Ford F550, single cab truck, red in color
- Large mounted box and house reel on back
- Marked with “Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority” and “R40”
- This truck is fully equipped with emergency lights, sirens, firefighting and rescue equipment.
Minimal information is available at this time. If you see this vehicle, or have any information on its whereabouts, please contact the RCMP or local law enforcement immediately. Do not approach the vehicle or individuals that may be with it.
